Our Artists

At Sitamuk we strive to empower Mi’kmaq and Indigenous artists from across our territory and showcase their work in Kjipuktuk. We have a selection of curated items on display which you are encouraged to ask our staff questions about as well as a multitude of products available for purchase that support that artist directly.

Kjipuktuk Halifax Youth Tees
$35.00

First launched in 2025, Kjipuktuk Halifax is our newest drop in our clothing line. This is not your average tourist tee; we want visitors to recognize the ancestral name of our territory and spread that message where they visit next. Printed on the back of this shirt is traditional Mi’kmaq linework, designed as a traditional motif resembling a ‘K’ to recognize Kjipuktuk. This message is subtle but holds a powerful history, we encourage everyone to learn about Indigenous history and reflect on how these teachings can be important in your own life.
